The Board of Registration in Podiatry was created in 1937 to regulate the practice of podiatry to safeguard the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Wyoming by ensuring that those individuals licensed to provide Podiatry and Podiatric Assistant services in the state are duly qualified.

The ultimate responsibility of the Board is to safeguard the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Wyoming by ensuring that those individuals licensed to provide Podiatry and Podiatry Assistant services in the state are duly qualified.
Who must be licensed:
Podiatrist:
Any person who professes to be a podiatrist, to practice or assume the duties incident to podiatry or to advertise in any form or hold themselves out to the public as a podiatrist, or in a sign or advertisement to use the word "podiatrist", "foot correctionist", "foot expert", "foot specialist", "chiropodist" or any other term or designation indicating to the public that he/she is holding himself out as a podiatrist or foot correctionist in any manner.
Podiatrist Assistant:
Any person operating any machine source of ionizing radiation or administering radiation to any patient in a Podiatrist's office.
